::Horseback Riding::
Basic western horsemanship instruction and a trail ride are available to retreat groups for a small extra charge.
::Group Building Games::
Ebert staff are well-versed in group building games and activities for both youth and adult groups.
::Low Ropes::
The Ebert Ranch low ropes course is a series of low to the ground challenge obstacles that groups work through together. Communication and cooperation are emphasized in short discussions that follow each element. Christian devotions that focus on maintaining community through challenges can be incorporated. ::High Ropes::
The Ebert Ranch high ropes course offers a series of challenges in which individual participants in safety harnesses work through obstacles that are up to 30 feet off of the ground. Individual goal setting and group encouragement are emphasized. Christian devotions that focus on maintaining faith supporting other through challenges can be incorporated. (more information)
::Hiking::
Ebert has 465 acres of beautiful rolling hills. Campers and retreaters are encouraged to take water and hike some of the many established trails.
::Crafts::
Ebert staff can provide instruction in a variety of age appropriate camp art such as leather craft, candle making, soap making, and more. A kiln is available for ceramic crafts. A small materials fee will apply for retreat guests.
::Archery::
Basic archery instruction and equipment can be provided to campers and retreaters.
::Animal Care::
Ebert is home to horses, chickens and goats. Campers and retreaters can learn basic animal care during their time at ranch.
::Outdoor Skills::
Campers and retreaters can learn basic survival, fire building, outdoor cooking, orienteering and other skills through the Ebert Ranch Out Camp program.
::Swimming::
The Ebert pool offers a unique opportunity to cool off in summer months. It is four feet deep and allows for a variety of water games. The pool is open seasonally. A small extra fee covers an Ebert approved lifeguard.
::Worship::
Ebert staff can coordinate and lead worship in a variety of styles for your group.
::Bible Study ::
With notice, Ebert’s staff can design and lead a Bible study specific to your group’s needs.
::Recreation and Games::
Ebert has equipment for a variety of indoor and outdoor games including kites, bocce ball, volleyball, field games equipment and board games.
::Nature Walks::
The beauty of the Hill Country lends itself well to nature studies. These can be designed to the age of the group and could include lessons in local animals and plants.
::Night or Astronomy Walks::
Enjoy the beauty of a rural night through a Night Walk. These events, led by staff, are designed to help campers and retreaters to feel comfortable in the night while learning about night animals through games and activities. Astronomy Walks offer basic lessons on the moon and, on clear nights, Greek constellations can be incorporated. Combination Night and Astronomy walks can be led by staff if enough time is allowed.
::S’mores::
The traditional camp favorite of s’mores can be incorporated into your time at camp. Roasting equipment, marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers are provided at no charge.
::Root beer and Homemade Icecream::
Ebert staff can lead you in making homemade root beer and icecream.
::Wine or Local Beer Socials::
For a small extra fee, Ebert staff can host a wine or local beer social for your group of adults over the age of 21.
