Low Ropes Challenge Course Elements
The Wild Woozy – You and a partner stand on two separate wires that form a V. You begin at the point of the V and work with your partner to lean on each other as you work your way out to the ends. How much do you need to learn to lean on people?
Triangle Tension Traverse – Walk along a triangular cable formation using a stationary rope to help you. What happens when your rope gets short?
The Mohawk Walk – See how far you and your group can get along a series of wires strung between trees. You won’t always be able to touch the trees, so you’ll need to rely on each other. Are you willing to let other people lead?
The Trust Fall Platform – Stand a few feet off the ground and trust your group to catch you as you fall straight backward. Is it easy to trust when you are falling?
The A-Frame – Sit one of your group on a large wooden A and then the group works together pulling ropes to make the A walk. Does it ever feel like your group is pulling in different directions?
The Trolleys – Everyone hop onto a set of large wooden boards and learns to walk on them together. Sometimes the most simple tasks can become difficult if you don’t communicate.
The Whale Watch – A large wooden platform is set up like a big teeter totter. Everyone hops on and tries to balance the platform. Balancing a group means a lot of give and take.
