The Chrysalis Outdoor School provides quality environmental education and community-building experiences that teach students a great appreciation for the natural world and each other. Our Outdoor School opportunities are open to public, private, and home school students.

A carefully developed program, with science and skill based classes for grades K-8

College-educated instructors, experienced in group facilitation and outdoor teaching.
Flexible Program Options
Chrysalis staff will work with you to choose classes and create a program that best
meets the needs of your students. Public, private, and home schools are welcome.
Half to Full Day Programs are available for grades K-8. If over the noon hour, lunch
may be brought from home or provided by Chrysalis.
Two to Four Day Overnight Programs are available for grades 4-8. Students stay in
comfortable cabins with a parent or teacher and eat in the Chrysalis Dining Hall.
Groups may choose from a variety of evening options from science based to traditional
Special Options for Christian Schools
For Christian Schools, we offer a program that incorporates Christian principles and
faith discussions into classes and activities. Overnight Christian schools may
choose to have Bible study time, Christian sing-a-longs, and morning and evening
