Financial LeadershipWays to GiveGiving Clubs- Individuals and families who provide annual financial leadership to Cross Trails Ministry in the amount of $300 or more are called, “Trail Blazers” while congregations who provide annual financial leadership of $1000 or more become part of our Congregational Giving Club. Buy a Brick- You can now honor a special person or event by purchasing a brick to be added to the new, rustic brick pathways at Camp Chrysalis. For $100 you can purchase a rectangular brick with up to four lines of text with up to fourteen characters per line, including spaces. For $75 you can purchase a square brick with up to three lines of text with up to ten characters per line, including spaces. (Cross Trails reserves the right to approve any text submitted.) Congregation Events- A wonderful way to promote and support Cross Trails Ministry is to host a “Cross Trails Sunday” in your home congregation. We tailor these days to meet the needs of your congregation. Options include, but are not limited to, Pastor Jennifer Gold preaching during worship, a Cross Trails Ministry year-round staff person leading Adult Sunday School, being available during a reception to greet members, setting up a display for congregation members to see all that is happening within Cross Trails Ministry, and so much more.
Employer Matching Funds- Does your employer providing matching funds for donations you make? Employee matching gifts (also known as matching funds) are grants an employer makes to match its employees’ charitable contributions. Employee matching gifts are often dollar-for-dollar, but some companies will give double or even triple the original donation. Some companies may also give matching gifts for employees’ volunteer efforts. Procedures vary with each company, so ask about matching gifts from your human resource department.
Endowment Fund- As we look to the future we are excited about all that is ahead as God continues to lead us in new directions. But we’ve also learned that it is our responsibility to be careful stewards of our gifts and resources. To help ensure growth and sustainability for this ministry we have established the Cross Trails Ministry Endowment Fund. When you send your gift marked endowment fund, it will join the funds of others to build Cross Trails Ministry. The Fund will provide monetary support for unbudgeted expenses in 2 primary areas: camperships & specialized or new program funding.
Gifts in Kind- Cross Trails Ministry accepts in-kind donations from individuals, organizations and congregations. Gifts of animals or vehicles require staff evaluation prior to acceptance. Gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law based on a value assigned by the giver. Life Insurance- Individuals can make Cross Trails Ministry a beneficiary of their life insurance policy. After talking with your insurance agent, please contact us to get our full legal name and business ID number and let us know so we can thank you! This is a wonderful gift to Cross Trails Ministry.
Lutheran Fall Festival- The Lutheran Fall Festival is an annual event, sponsored by the Hill Country Lutheran Men in Mission. This event provides funds to Cross Trails Ministry for special projects. Branches of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans provide matching funds for parts of the event. Highlights include youth and adult chili cook-offs, a silent and live auction, a BBQ meal, and a craft fair. In order for this event to be successful, it is important that we have participation from our supporting congregations.
